FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Some of the most common questions we hear from principals, school owners, trustees and IT leads — right from pricing and implementation timelines, to data security and customisation. If you do not find your question listed below, please drop us a note — our team will get back to you within one business day.

How long does implementation take?

Most schools go live in 2–4 weeks. The timeline depends on the data you are migrating, the modules you are turning on, and how quickly your team can review test runs. Implementation, training, and data migration are included in the base plan.

How do you price Skolaro?

We charge per student, billed annually or term-wise. All 50+ modules are included in the base plan — there are no premium add-ons. As you scale, discounts apply automatically. Schedule a call and we will share a transparent quote scoped to your campus.

Is my data secure?

Skolaro is hosted on AWS with ISO 27001-certified infrastructure. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit, role-based access is enforced, and we maintain daily backups with point-in-time recovery. We do not share data with third parties.

Can parents and students use Skolaro on their phones?

Yes. Skolaro has native iOS and Android apps for parents, students, and teachers. Management uses the web portal. Everyone sees only what their role permits.

Do you support our board / curriculum?

Skolaro has built-in templates for CBSE, ICSE, IB, IGCSE, Cambridge, and major state boards. If your board is not on the list, we can configure it during implementation — typically within a week.

Can we migrate from our existing system?

Yes. We have done migrations from MS Excel, Tally, Fedena, MasterSoft, Educomp, and a long tail of in-house systems. Migration is included in the base plan.

What about customisation?

Most schools find Skolaro configurable enough out of the box. For larger institutions or unusual workflows, we offer paid customisation — we have built custom admission processes, hostel mess fee structures, and report card formats over the years.

How does support work?

Phone, email, and in-app chat — 9 AM to 9 PM, Monday to Saturday. Every customer has a dedicated relationship manager. Critical issues are addressed within an hour during business hours.

Can we try it before committing?

Yes — every customer starts with a 30-minute scoped demo where we walk through your specific workflow. After that, we run a small pilot if you want to validate fit before committing to the full rollout.

What happens if we want to leave?

Your data is yours. We can export everything to Excel or CSV format on request. There are no exit fees and no minimum lock-in beyond your current contract term.

Still have questions?
