In collaboration with Royal Society of Chemistry, Salters’ Institute, UK and Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR),  Salters Chemistry Camp organised a 3 day residential chemistry camp for the rural students of Bengaluru, Mysuru, Mandya, Hassan, Ballari, Kolar and Uttara Kannada districts. Around 60 students got the opportunity to explore different scientific concepts here. They saw chemistry demonstrations and got a chance to mingle with like minded students while getting a taste of hostel life.

This camp was an effort to reach out to the less privileged bright young minds. As per Mr CNR Rao of JNCASR  this will help in developing the scientific temperament students and at the same time get a hands on experience of state-of-the-art chemistry labs.

Rs 8 crores have been committed to Salters Chemistry Camp for a five year programme which will include training of science teachers as well by Cipla.
