India is seeing an alarming rise in cyber crimes. Prominent websites are getting hacked and the data misused. Recently, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) website was compromised. CBSE has asked the students to be vigilant as with the purpose of registration of candidates some commercial websites have created look-alike pages with its logo on social networking sites.
Students to only visit www.cbse.nic.in for all authentic and official information released by the board to safeguard themselves from being duped by unscrupulous elements. Students to take note that CBSE will not ask them to provide any contact information including their personal details like email, facebook, twitter handle, phone number etc.
